Camp Enterprise 2009

2009 November 9

Early on the first Saturday morning in November, I had the great fortune of seeing members of the Edina Morningside and Edina Noonside Rotary clubs out at Camp Courage, in Annandale, Minnesota. They graciously invited me to sit in on the student participants’ planning time. They were adding finishing touches to the projects they would be pitching to a Venture Capitalist, in the hopes of being awarded a $1,000,000 to launch their “company.”

I was extremely impressed with the atmosphere of positivity and cooperation present among all students. It was a great sunny weekend, after all!

I was able to watch Joe Cavanaugh, President and CEO of Youth Frontiers, give an inspirational speech to the students about “taking off the mask” and being true to one’s self.

I truly hope our members are able to support the Edina Rotary clubs next year, by serving as facilitators at Camp Enterprise!
